6 CHILDREN EVERYDAY ARE KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED WALKING TO AND FROM SCHOOL
Families across the UK are having their lives shattered. Receiving devastating news that their children have been killed or seriously injured, whilst they were walking to and from school.
It is equivalent to a whole class a week, according to the road safety charity Brake.
At Million Mile Light® we don’t believe any family should have to go through that and we want to help change the statistics, which is why we’re launching our 'Be Safe. Been Seen.' Road Safety Campaign.
WHAT'S THE AIM OF THE CAMPAIGN?
SAFETY EDUCATION FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN
We are providing grown ups with advice, top tips and educational tools to support them with helping children to understand the importance of road safety.
AWARENESS AND USE SAFETY TOOLS
There are tools available, like our road safety lights, that can be used to equip children and help prevent life changing consequences. We want to encourage grown ups and children to use these wherever possible.
PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE DRIVING
To make a real difference, we don't believe it should be just up to kids to keep themselves safe. Drivers have a responsibility too. Paying attention, watching their speed and being aware of stopping distances are contributing factors we are raising awareness on.
